Aims & Actions
The Foundation strives to bring awareness and sound conservation practice to the plight of lesser known and endangered animals globally.
Tikki Hywood Foundation aims to increase awareness of the conservation tool that is legislation and is constantly seeking ways of improving and upholding the laws that protect fauna and flora.
The Foundation has an expansive view of conservation and preservation of all species and therefore also ardently campaign the cause of animal rights and welfare worldwide.
The Foundation focuses on key, lesser known species and runs successful breeding and release programs throughout Zimbabwe, in an effort to augment dwindling wild populations. Through these programs, the Foundation designs and implements standards and protocols for the captive management, rehabilitation and release of these species back to the wild. These policies can then be adopted both nationally and internationally, to assist similar species around the world that are equally threatened.
